The procedure is performed under local anesthetic or general anesthetic.The legs are measured at a pre- operative visit and appropriately sized implants are ordered and prepared. An incision is made in the fascia of the Gastrocnemius (calf) muscle and a pocket is created between this fascia and the underlying muscle.
